clean install?
should i wipe this and start over? there are just enough bugs to convince me and it seems like it is running a bit slow.. i really havent done all that much that i couldnt' redo easily.

I would suggest it. But you know what you can also do? Save your installed packages list and then use it to get yourself right back to the same point.

i was thinking about that but my goal was to get rid of all the shite that i had already installed and kill any of the conflicts i had created...
on the upside i just did the full install again, fixed my resolution and got wifi working in under an hour.
i heart ubuntu
Nice one, I should speak with you about wifi since I have it working, but it isn't exactly user (or change) friendly. Stupid me and my stupid solutions.
yeah.. i think that is more of a gnome issue.. when i was using kubuntu all that time ago, they had a great wireless manager. and when i switched to gnome.. alas.. nothing good
open synaptic and search for Wifi-radar. it'll get your functionality that you want
